Once again this year, the Spa Valley Railway based at Tunbridge Wells in Kent will be running its popular Kent Whisky Train.
The Kent Whisky Train is run in association with Copper Rivet Distillery and provides a Whisky Tasting Experience behind a magnificent Steam Locomotive.
The train runs from the railway’s Tunbridge Wells West station in Kent and is scheduled to run on Saturdays 24 February and 9 March, departing on both dates at 3 pm for a return trip to Eridge.
During the journey and while enjoying the stunning Kent countryside, guests can three different whiskies from the Copper Rivet Distillery with a selection from:
- Single Malt Whisky
- Grain Whisky
- Column Malt Whisky
All three are single estate whiskies, natural and unfiltered, and created at Copper Rivets Distillery in the Dockyard at Chatham in Kent.
To enhance travellers’ whisky-tasting experience, a complimentary Fever-Tree mixer and a bowl of ice will be provided so that guests can mix their whiskies to suit their tastes in their very own branded Spa Valley Railway whisky glass.
Also included in the experience is a delightful selection of canapés, whilst additional whiskies and mixers are available on request at £6 each.
The Spa Valley Railway’s Kent Whisky Train was the first whisky-tasting experience in South East England. For this event, guests wishing to travel in the dining carriages must be aged 18.
Tickets for the Kent Whisky Train are also valid for all day on the day of the experience, so guests can remain on the train after the event. However, there may be other experiences taking place which will require passengers to move to another part of the train.
Tickets for the Kent Whisky Train, which includes train travel and the Whisky experience, cost £40 per adult and can be booked online at www.spavalleyrailway.co.uk
As well as the Kent Whisky Train, the railway is running its popular Gin and Steam Trains next Saturday, 20 January and on three Saturdays in March.
