Join the team!

From time to time we look for new freelance writers to join the team here at RailAdvent.

With up to 2 million page views a month, RailAdvent is one of the largest railway news websites in the UK. Although we have recently added more writers to the team, with almost 350 stories published in one month recently, there is still more news we would like to cover.

What is involved?

As a member of the team, you will be writing short news stories from press releases received from train operating companies, heritage railways and their PR agencies as well as other heritage projects, train simulation and model railways.

Some of the team also get involved in book reviews and keeping our tour and event detail pages up to date.

What are the hours?

This self-employed role involves you working from home on a part time basis with hours to suit you, if you have a couple of hours to spare in a morning or an afternoon then this could be just what you are looking for.

Other Information

You will need a PC / Laptop / Mac with internet access as well as a good English skills. Whilst an interest in railways could be beneficial, it is not essential.
Previous experience of writing could be an advantage.
