We have made another addition to the RailAdvent Plus streaming library, and this one provides a good chance to witness some steam locomotives in action that currently are out awaiting / undergoing overhaul.
This DVD takes us back on a journey to 2018 as we spend the weekend at the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway for their Spring Steam Gala. (approx run time: 60 minutes)
Express trains, shuttles and freight trains all featured across the weekend, with an intensive timetable in operation across the three days
Locomotives featured in this DVD set are:
- BR ‘Britannia’ No. 70013 ‘Oliver Cromwell’ (courtesy of the 5305 Locomotive Association and the Great Central Railway) – Currently out of service undergoing overhaul
- S&D ‘7F’ No. 53808 (from the West Somerset Railway) – Heading towards withdrawal from service
- LMS ‘Black 5’ No. 44871 (appearing thanks to Riley & Son (E) Ltd)
These visitors would run alongside the home fleet of
- Taff Vale No. 85
- 4F No. 43924 – Currently out of service awaiting overhaul
- Coal Tank No. 1054
- Hudswell Clarke No. 1704 ‘Nunlow’ – Currently out of service awaiting overhaul
- BR Std 4 No. 75078
- S160 No. 5820 ‘Big Jim’ – Currently out of service awaiting overhaul
