UPDATED: Where to see Flying Scotsman and Tornado tomorrow between York and Carlisle

OUTBOUND TOUR UPDATE: This train is diesel haul Peterborough to Carlisle due to a air-brake issue on 60103 Flying Scotsman.
Tornado will haul Carlisle to Peterborough as originally expected

This Thursday, 28th October 2021, LNER A1 No. 60163 Tornado and LNER A3 60103 Flying Scotsman will be hauling part of a tour to Carlisle from Peterborough.

Departing Peterborough behind a diesel locomotive at 06:42, the tour will head for York, calling at Newark North Gate (07:26) and Doncaster at 07:58 before arrival into York at 08:31.

From York, and with Flying Scotsman at the head of the train, the tour will pass through Sherburn-in-Elmet (09:38), Castleford (10:08), Shipley (11:12), Keighley (11:27), Skipton (11:44), Hellifield (12:28) Ribblehead (12:48), Appleby (13:27), Langwathby (13:42) and Carlisle at 14:19.

After a change of loco to 60163 Tornado, the tour will depart Carlisle at 15:44 and will pass through Appleby (16:29), Garsdale (17:06), Ribblehead (17:18), Hellifield (17:41), Gargrave (19:03), Keighley (19:26), Shipley (19:35), Castleford (20:25), Church Fenton (20:42), York at 20:55, Doncaster (22:15), Retford (22:44), Newark North Gate (23:29), Grantham (23:59) and Peterborough at 00:31.
