There was spectacular scenery between Macclesfield and Buxton which, when driving a car, you don’t get the opportunity to take in. The purpose behind my visit to Buxton was to see the arrival of “The Buxton Spa Express”…

Some photos taken at Carrog on the Llangollen & Corwen Railway over the weekend of the recent Branch Line Gala held 11-13 April 2025. A key attraction was the visit of 4-6-0 “Betton Grange”, the construction of which began at Llangollen. The sight and performance of the loco was a great credit to all involved in its construction.
