After several days of disruption due to flooding and damage to the dam at Whaley Bridge, Northern has announced that some services have been reinstated.
From first thing this morning, Wednesday 7 August, services will once again operate on the Hope Valley line between Sheffield and Manchester.
Services between Buxton and Hazel Grove remain suspended until further notice.
Rail replacement road transport will continue to operate between Buxton and Macclesfield.
There may be further disruption on TransPennine Express and East Midlands Trains services.
All customers planning to travel in the area should check with their train operator or at www.nationalrail.co.uk before they travel.
