Transport for London has announced that an exclusive Docklands Light Railway Discovery train is to run every weekend between the 4th August and 9th September 2018 (inclusive).

Visitors to the capital will be able to experience a first of its kind day on the Docklands Light Railway as KeolisAmey Docklands, the DLRs operator, has launched the DLR Discovery.

Passengers will be taken on a guided tour between Tower Gateway and Cutty Sark on a special non-stop train service on a route not normally served by the Docklands Light Railway.

Each train will include a guide onboard as it travels along the raised tracks through the transformed Docklands area of East London. The guide will provide engaging and an informative commentary, allowing you to learn more about the area.

The day will also include a thirty minute guided walk around Greenwich, which has the opportunity to learn more about the World Heritage Site.

The walking tour will start and end at Cutty Sark DLR station. Trains will depart on the hour every hour, starting at 10 am each day, with the last tour leaving Tower Gateway at 5 pm. Tickets for the exclusive DLR Discovery train are £8 for adults and £4 for children and include a return journey on the DLR.
