The 5305 Locomotive Association have announced that they will be holding an Open Day at Loughborough Works on the 7th July 2018.
The Open Day will allow you to come and learn about the work that the group do with regards to the locomotives that they operate.
For those who don’t know, the 5305 Locomotive Association maintain and operate 45305 Alderman A E Draper, 70013 Oliver Cromwell, 30777 Sir Lamiel, D123 Derbyshire and Leicestershire Yeomanry and D6535.
Have you ever wondered what its like to be involved with a steam locomotive on the mainline? This open day is the perfect opportunity for you to find out how. Come and meet the volunteers and find out how you could be part of the mainline crew!
When will it be held?
The Open Day at Loughborough Works will be being held from 10.00-16.00 on the 7th July 2018 and is free admission for everyone!
Also available will be footplate access to some of the group’s locomotives, so you can see what it is like from a drivers point of view! (Subject to availability).
