The Lincolnshire Coast Light Railway will be operating FREE train rides at the Skegness Water Leisure Park when they hold their Caravan Show on the 9th June 2018.

Britain’s most modern caravans will be on show throughout the weekend of 9th and 10th June 2018 (trains operating on the 9th June ONLY). It is a unique opportunity to see the future of holidays on the Park, with the latest models being available.

The award-winning Park and Railway were visited last year by HRH The Princess Royal, who unveiled a new plaque in the Reception Area commemorating the occasion and the park has won multiple David Bellamy Gold Awards for its wildlife conservation.

The park opened in 1990 and has 185 acres, which offers plenty of space for static caravans, glamping in S-Pods and facilities for touring caravans, camper vans and tents.

Facilities include The Barn Inn, Coffee Shop, children’s play area, General Store, three fully stocked fishing lakes and modern toilets and shower blocks.

The Caravan Show will start at 10 am and will finish at 6 pm on both days and will see new models from Willerby, Swift and Europa. New and used touring caravans will be being supplied by Pioneer Caravans.

There will also be special Holiday Home prices only available at the Show with special finance rates too.

On Saturday, there will be free train rides being operated by the Lincolnshire Coast Light Railway between 11 am and 3.30 pm.

The Caravan Show is the perfect opportunity for the LCLR to demonstrate its equipment. The trains will be being operated by the railway’s ‘Simplex’ locomotives

What did the officials say?

Spokesman John Chappell said:

“This is the perfect chance to choose the latest and best models of caravans, in what is one of the best appointed sites on the East Coast. It’s also the perfect chance to sample some  ‘time travel’ on the Saturday, with a ride  on the light railway, free of charge.”
