Lancashire and Yorkshire railway stations to get new information screens

66 stations will receive the new screens in the third phase of the project

More than 180 high contrast LED screens are to be installed to provide passengers with up-to-date information as part of a £13.3m investment by operator .

The new screens are said to be better for passengers with some visual impairments, with the information providing a clear format that is easy to read.

The operator will install 186 new screens and upgrade announcement systems at 66 stations, including , and , and is due to be completed by Spring 2025.

500 screens have already been installed at 172 stations during the first two phases of the project.

“We are committed to providing customers across our network with the latest information on screens that are clear and accessible, so they can enjoy smoother journeys.

“It is part of an exciting project to upgrade hundreds of customer information screens over five years.”
