LNER named as Top Employer for third year in a row

London North Eastern Railway (LNER) has been certified as a Top Employer in the UK for the third year running by the Top Employers Institute.

The Top Employers Institute is a certification programme which focuses on a companies or organisations dedication to betterment in the world of work which can be demonstrated through outstanding Human Resources (HR) policies and people practices.

LNER were thrilled to be named as one of the Top Employers for 2022 with recognition  particularly for excellence in work in areas such as employee health and wellbeing, diversity and inclusion, work environment and performance development.

Despite the impact of the pandemic, LNER has continued to prioritise their people practices and meet challenges that Covid-19 has provided.

David Horne, Managing Director at LNER, said: “Our people are the foundation of what we do as a business, and we are passionate about creating the best possible employee experience for our colleagues to ensure we can ultimately provide the very best experience for our customers. To be recognised as a Top Employer for the third year in a row is an achievement we are extremely proud to receive. The award celebrates our commitment to making LNER a great place to work.”

As the global authority for recognising excellence in people practices, the Top Employers Institute certifies organisations based upon participation and results from their HR Best Practice Survey. The institue believes that people make an organisation and that empowering employees through people practices deserves to be recognised.
