Here is your chance to become a Steam Train Driver at Newquay’s Lappa Valley Railway

The Lappa Valley Railway has told RailAdvent that it is currently looking for a Railway Operations Assistant to join the team at their base in Newquay.

As a Railway Operations Assistant, the successful applicant will be working on the 15-inch gauge railway, driving both steam and diesel locomotives.

Other work will see you help out with the park team to operate the Lappa Valley Railway’s smaller railways and other attractions.

Due to the safety-critical surrounding of this job, the Lappa Valley Railway has said that it is essential that “applicants must be 21 years of age and above”.

This is an excellent opportunity for anyone to get into train driving or continuing a hobby of trains.
