The East Coast Main Line team has a very important role to play to make sure that the railway is running safely and reliably. Stuart Frame is an Area Manager, and all his team make sure they are no issues affecting the railway. For example reported trespassers, or signalling faults, amongst other issues.
Stuart and his teams’ essential work they do every day means all the trains can run with no problems. So people who have to travel to work and cannot work at home, like the NHS staff doctors and nurses.
The team have gathered together spare supplies of vital PPE. This has been delivered to Doncaster Royal Infirmary. The PPE included 140 overalls and 25 pairs of protective goggles to be used by frontline NHS workers.
Network Rail is encouraging more workers to sign up and volunteer their skills where possible to help the NHS.
