Photos are being shared on Twitter this morning showing a crammed London Underground trains, despite the taking hold across the country.

The current advice from the government is not to travel unless it is necessary, and to avoid social contact – and stay 2m away from people.

Fred Scott, one of the passengers on the Tube, and who tweeted one of the photos, said: “On a 6:40 train from Upton Park going to Hammersmith. If 1 person on here has the virus then that will affect others, who will take that elsewhere. Lockdown needed.”

Another passenger, Kubson, asked Transport for London on twitter “where is my southbound train? I’m on the platform @colindale since 6 am and no sight of the train, platform is full of people, thanks for nothing!!!”

@duckpilotuk also tweeted a picture: “TFL has reduced the frequency of London Underground trains, which are now busier than they should be. Not much social distancing on the Piccadilly Line this morning. I am classed as a ‘key worker’ and rely on the Tube.”

  1. Did you think that maybe this guys they don’t have a choice?same like me…my manager wants me in full time .normal hours 7 to 7
If i dont go ..they dont pay…i have family ..who will pay me?government? NO …THEY DONT GIVE A FUCK ABOUT US
they will give money to everyone..really?when? I need money now…not in 2 months time , do you think i am happy to go to work in this conditions? No…but the ” mayor ” decided to cut down the trains..
    Very cleaver 👏👏👏👏👏
Stop judging the working class…judge the guys that decide everything in this country…

  2. Everyone fast on judging those people on the train. How foolish they are, not all of them key workers… No, it’s not about key workers, every parent or anyone who needs to go to work and keep making to pay their expenses is a key worker to their affairs.
Because this government so far just talk a lot but I don’t see any real assurances, and If I go sick, I go sick with SSP which does not pay even rent for a room I’m staying in.
No, it’s not the fault of those people to travel on the train, it’s the economy, that won’t allow you to live a decent life, be able to save up, be secure. You pay consumer tax, income tax, your social and health services and even now, all these people paid tax when bought their journey to work, risking getting infected.

  3. This people is going to work as prime minister said. Avoid any unnecessary jurney unless you travel to buy food. Medicine. Or travel to work.

  4. Even worse on c2c early this morning. What is wrong with people who can’t work from home. I don’t understand why they aren’t listening to the advice from the Prime Minister. Oh well let the Coronavirus spread even more and engulf the entire UK. Makes my blood boil.

  5. Wtf are people playing at? Are they morons? Do they want the virus to spread, kill more?. We all have to take responsibility in fighting the virus. Acting irresponsible like this will cost lives. Boris said if we all kept up with social distancing for three months then we can pull through the other side. These mindless morons are the reason we will be in complete lockdown. Ffs think! Stop being selfish and stupid

  6. Duckpilotuk assumes that they are the only one with an important job to do. I am sure many others in that carriage wish they could have stayed at home but can’t. Some of them are probably travelling unnecessarily but not all. Also, with the reduced timetable it is expected that trains will be fuller.

  7. Some people are so stupid, cant believe what this country is up to, after seeing everyone out yesterday on the beaches what makes then think they are safe, hope the law enforcers a curfew thats all i can say
