Steam Railway Magazine has announced that everyone involved in the restoration of BR 9F No. 92134 has won the HRA Steam Railway readers award.
92134 is the only remaining single chimney member of the 250 strong class built by British Railways.
The locomotive returned to service at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway in 2019 after a number of years under restoration.
The NYMR and 92134 beat off competition from the Bury Standard 4 Group for their restoration of 80097, who came second place.
The Didcot Railway Centre and the Great Western Society came third place for the completion of new-build ‘Saint' No. 2999 Lady of Legend.
