Family fun at the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway

The Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway has released details of events coming up in July, meaning family days out are epic this Summer.

On the 23rd and 30th July 2019, they will be holding their Driver for a Fiver. This gives you the chance to drive a steam engine by yourself! Dogs not permitted.

You must have a valid driving license to take part, and the cost is £5 per person. The time slots for this event are

10:30, 10:45, 11:00, 11:15, 11:45, 12:00, 12:15, 12:30,13:15, 13:30, 13:45, 14:00, 14:30, 14:45, 15:00, 15:15.

Next is the railway’s National Trust Acitivity Day, held on the 24th and 25th July 2019. This event sees the National Trust return to Dalegarth station for hands on fun.

Best of all, this event is FREE!

Finally, the RER will be holding their KIDS GO FREE FRIDAY, on the 26th July 2019. Kids go free during the July and August school holidays. Just bring along an adult with a valid Calling All Stations Pass and get FREE child entry!
