Where to see steam locomotive 70000 Britannia in Carlisle this Wednesday

70000 Britannia will be on the mainline once again as it hauls a railtour from Crewe to Carlisle.

The locomotive is hauling ‘The Fellsman’ via Blackburn and Settle.

Departing Crewe at 07:37, the train will head through Hartford (07:55), Warrington Bank Quay (08:13), Wigan North Western (08:30), Leyland (08:48), Blackburn (09:12), Lango (09:25), Clitheroe (09:35), Hellifield (10:40), Ribblehead (11:07), Garsdale (11:23), Appleby (11:50), Lazonby & Kirkoswald (12:35) and Carlisle at 13:05.

After 2 and a half hours in Carlisle, the locomotive will go back the same path as the outbound journey. Departing Carlisle at 15:35, the train will pass through Appleby (16:21), Blea Moor (17:13), Hellifield (17:34), Clitheroe (18:47), Blackburn (19:17), Leyland (19:46), Wigan North Western (20:03), Warrington Bank Quay (20:31), Hartford (20:55) and finally Crewe at 21:26.
