The Epping Ongar Railway has announced that 419 will no longer be attending the line for their Steam Gala.

The locomotive was due to visit for their gala, taking place on 7th – 9th June, however, has been withdrawn.

419 has been withdrawn from the event by its owners, the SRPS.

This is still an excellent gala, so make sure you attend, more information here.

No. 419 returned to steam in October 2018 and is based at the Bo’ness and Kinneil Railway in Scotland.

The locomotive was built by the Caledonian Railway at St Rollox Works, Glasgow, in 1907 and was designed by J.F. Mcintosh for branch line work before its career was ended on pilot duties for British Railways at Carstairs.
