A giant Perspex egg, which is currently believed to be the biggest chocolate-filled egg in Liverpool, has been installed in Central Station.

The egg is part of a competition for passengers.

The model is jam-packed with foil-wrapped eggs, and passengers are being invited to guess how many eggs are in the shell for its competition. The winner of which will win £150 of high street vouchers.

Similar, smaller Perspex eggs are also on show in eight other MtoGo stores at Old Hall Street, Moorfields, Lime Street Low Level, Hooton, Hamilton Square, Southport, Maghull and Waterloo stations, where passengers can win £50 worth of high street vouchers.

To enter, customers are asked to fill in a competition card in store and post it in the box provided before Easter Monday on April 22nd.

The person whose guesses is closest to the correct answer will be crowned the winner.

If you are wondering what happens to the contents of the eggs, the chocolate foil wrapped eggs will be sent to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, Merseyrail’s Charity of the Year for 2019.

What did the officials say?

“The Easter bunny has certainly arrived early in our MtoGo stores and we’re delighted to be able to host this fun competition.

“With high street vouchers on offer for our winning customers, and lots of chocolate eggs poised to go to the children spending time at Alder Hey, we hope that we’ll be able to put the smile on lots of people’s faces this Easter.”
