Caravanning is a great way to explore North Wales, and we would really recommend visiting the Ffestiniog Railway if you end up in this beautiful country.

If you are wanting to stay in Harlech to explore the surrounding areas as well as the Ffestiniog Railway, then we would really recommend staying at Barcdy Caravan and Camping Park, we have stayed here before and is brilliant for exploring North Wales. It is a short distance from Porthmadog, Minffordd, Penrhyn and Tan-y-bwlch stations allowing you some flexibility of where you would like to board the train.

Beddgelert is a quiet and historic village, visit Gelert’s Grave, buy ice cream, or hop on a Welsh Highland train. Staying here is excellent, and what makes it even better is that Beddgelert Campsite has its own station for the Welsh Highland Railway. Click here for more information.
