Steam locomotive No.70000 Britannia will be back in steam on the mainline and will be in Crewe and Burnley on Saturday 8th December 2018.
The Britannia locomotive is on a special rail tour from Crewe to Burnley Manchester Road.
The steam locomotive will depart the Crewe at approximately 10:07 am.
The railtour will then leave the Crewe, bound for Burnley Manchester Road, where it will steam through Hartford (10:24), Warrington Bank Quay (10:43), Wigan North Western (11:16), Lostock Hall Junction (11:35), Blackburn (11:53), Rose Grove 12:11) before arriving into Burnley Manchester Road at 12:43.
Departing Burnley Manchester Road at 13:08, the train will take a different route back to Crewe. The train will steam through Copy Pit (13:18), Todmorden (13:30), Rochdale (13:44), Manchester Victoria (14:20), Eccles (14:44) Warrington Bank Quay (15:13) and Hartford (15:41) before arriving into Crewe at 16:08.
