Steam locomotive No.60009 Union of South Africa will be back in steam on the mainline and will be in London and Cardiff on Thursday 22nd November 2018.
The A4 locomotive is on a special rail tour from London Paddington to Cardiff Central.
The steam locomotive will depart the London Paddington at approximately 09:22 am.
The railtour will then leave the London Paddington, bound for Cardiff, where it will steam through Southall (09:37), Slough (stop at 09:47), Maidenhead (09:58) and Twyford (10:05) before stopping at Reading at 10:12.
After around a 20-minute break, the locomotive will depart Reading for Cardiff, where it will stop at Didcot Parkway (10:47), and Swindon (11:49), Bristol Parkway (12:35) and Newport (pass at 13:40).
The steam locomotive will arrive at Cardiff Central at 13:58.
Departing Cardiff Central at 16:40, the train will take the same route back to London Paddington. The train will steam through Newport (17:00), Bristol Parkway (17:48), Swindon (18:47), Didcot Parkway (20:11), Reading (20:40), Slough (21:05), Southall (21:18) before arriving back into London Paddington at 21:38.
