The Nene Valley Railway has announced that steam trains will return on Wednesday 15th August 2018 following a steam ban.
Steam locomotive 34081 ’92 Squadron’ will be the locomotive to bring back steam trains to the Nene Valley.
Train services will start at 10 am from Wansford.
The railway is still at a high risk of lineside fires, but the railway is confident after the recent conditions and they are confident they can run steam trains on the 15th August.
This is brilliant news from the Nene Valley Railway, but please do bear in mind that cancellations of steam trains can come at short notice.
