Train operating company, Greater Anglia, is giving people and passengers the chance to experience its brand new trains using the power of virtual reality.
The train operator, who runs trains in East Anglia, are replacing every single train with brand new units. These will start to come into service from 2019.
In the meantime, people are being invited to stations across the GA network to step on board the new trains through a virtual reality headset.
The virtual reality roadshow will be at London Liverpool Street on Friday 16th February between 3 pm and 7 pm. No need to book. Just turn up and take a peek into how Greater Anglia is transforming rail travel for passengers in East Anglia.
Two trains will be available to view, a Bombardier and a Stadlers. The Bombardier trains will replace commuter trains which run to Liverpool Street from Essex. The Stadlers will replace trains on the Intercity, Stansted Express, and rural lines.
What did the officials say?
Mike Kean, Greater Anglia Deputy Managing Director, said: “We’re spending £1.4 billion on brand new trains to replace every single train on our network. It’s going to transform rail travel in East Anglia.
“We’re really excited about it and we’re confident that when people experience our new trains through virtual reality they’ll be looking forward to their arrival as much as we are.”
