Taff Vale Railway No. 85 has returned home to the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway in Yorkshire after it went on a Christmas holiday.

The steam locomotive went to visit the Embsay and Bolton Abbey Railway, near Skipton, North Yorkshire. The aim of its visit was to support them on their Santa Special services.

Diesel locomotives 226 and 25059 top and tailed the tank engine up the 5-mile route from Ingrow West back to Haworth MPD.

No. 85 has rejoined the home locomotives of 43924, Nunlow, 1054, 44871 (visiting over winter) and 5820 ‘Big Jim’ to provide Steam Services.

85 will feature at the upcoming 40th Anniversary gala and Winter Steam Gala!
