Over the weekend of 25th-27th August 2017, the Bala Lake Railway held their annual steam gala, celebrating George B’s return to steam.
Unfortunately, George B failed on the Thursday before the gala, and meant an emergency replacement had to be found, and was found in the form of Hunslet ‘Hugh Napier’, from the Ffestiniog Railway / National Trust.
Hunslet Hugh Napier is owned by the National Trust and is operated by the Ffestiniog Railway in North Wales. The locomotive was built in 1904 for the Penrhyn Quarry.

This was a lovely event to film at. All clips are filmed from points of view with permission from volunteers.
The Bala Lake Railway will be running their Barbeque Specials once again for 2018, stopping for a barbeque at Llangower and watching the sun go down. Booking is essential for this event. Activities and Services[...]
