The Rail Accident Investigation Branch has announced that it is to publish a safety digest after a passenger was dragged by a tram at Centre tram stop.

On the 22nd February 2023, at around 18:04, a passenger was dragged several metres by a tram on the network.

The passenger then fell onto the tram stop floor and sustained facial and chest injuries in the incident.

The RAIB has found that the passenger had placed a walking stick in one of the tram's closing doors, and has decided to produce a safety digest.

This will be available in the coming weeks.
