Several companies across the UK are on the lookout to promote local businesses, is no exception, and the latest editions to their café bar menu do just that.

Three different types of Vinca Wine have been added to the onboard menu of intercity services between , Colchester, and .

Passengers can purchase the new wines from the bar in coach C, or from the onboard trolly service along with a range of hot snacks, sandwiches and other confectionary.

Three school friends from established Vinca Wines. The organic grapes used in their wines are Italian, coming from the west coast of Sicily.

The sustainable practices used by the growers ensure they get the very best flavour out of every single grape while enabling the protection of the vineyard for future generations against the extreme forces that come with climate change.

The vegan friendly wines are poured into aluminium cans to an amount of one quarter of a standard bottle. They are brought to the UK by Vinca Wines for onward sale on Greater Anglia services.

The three wines will include a Provence-style Syrah rosé, a red wine made from a subtle mix of Nero d'Avola and Frappato grapes, and a white wine composed of Catarratto grapes.

Vinca wines will also be available from Suffolk's most recognised local brewery Adnams, which is also a recognised wine merchant.

There will also be a wine tasting session for passengers on board a special Greater Anglia train which will run in the next few weeks, more details are to follow.

“We are pleased to stock Vinca Wine on board our Intercity services. We are always looking for opportunities to support local businesses. We already stock Kettle Chips and Sponge cakes, both of which are produced in Norfolk.

“We try and source as much as possible from our local network, including Yarmouth-based Lacons and of course and a number of beverages from Adnams (who are also supplying the Vinca wines for us) – it's a great opportunity to showcase some of the delights of the region as people travel with us.”
