Here is a quick preview of Steam Sounds Supreme model of steam locomotive 34092 City of Wells, which will be available once the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway route is available.
Steam Sounds Supreme, along with Blast Pipe Productions, have produced this lovely model of 34092 City of Wells. The locomotive comes in two guises, either as Wells or City of Wells. A Golden Arrow variant is also available.
The locomotive comes with a giesl ejector exhaust, and having played with it, the sounds are absolutely superb. They are spot on and sounds just like it would in real life!
Inside the cab, you will find it is high quality, like the rest of the engine. You can easily find what you are looking for. Again, the cab is life like with many clickable handles to control this powerful locomotive. Here, pretty much all of the textures you will see have had a full revamp over the standard version.
Many of the textures are now 4K with CJB particles and realistic characteristics. You can also cycle through the many (30+) variants of Southern route codes on the front of the engine.
The whistle, once again, is very authentic. Like the other sounds, it sounds just like real life – this giving you a lifelike experience when taking the locomotive on one of your favourite routes.
Having played with 34092 for the past few weeks, and on a variety of routes, we can say it runs incredibly well and is easy to drive for the beginners amongst us, and also can be turned to a more difficult setting for the expert drivers that play Train Simulator.
We look forward to bringing you more of this locomotive, and the KWVR route when it is available.
We would like to thank Steam Sounds Supreme for allowing us to preview 34092 City of Wells, and for allowing us to write this article. This preview was written using a pre-release test version of the locomotive which may be subject to change prior to release.
