Do Not Travel: No Avanti London to Scotland services to run this Friday

Avanti is to withdraw all services on Friday due to ASLEF strike action

No Avanti West Coast services will run due to the strike action and the operator is saying that no rail replacement services will be in place either.

Avanti West Coast is not the only operator suspending all services this week, with Northern suspending its services on Saturday 6th April due to strike action.

Passengers are being urged to check before travelling between Thursday 4th and Saturday 6th April due to an overtime ban being place and on Monday 8th and Tuesday 9th April due to strike action taking place elsewhere on the rail network.

“We're sorry our customers will face disruption to their travel plans when ASLEF go on strike this Friday.  

“Anyone with tickets for 5 to 8 April can make their journey on alternative days or claim a full refund. While our advice to all customers making journeys between 4 and 9 April is to check before you travel. We'd like to thank our customers for their continued patience and understanding during this industrial action.”
