Northern warns of no Saturday train service due to strike action

Strike action will affect Northern services on Saturday 6th April

is advising passengers to make alternative arrangements this Saturday (6th April) as the latest round of takes place.

The latest strike action from the train drivers' union will mean no Northern service can operate on its entire network.

Northern is also advising passengers to check before travelling on Friday 5th April and Monday 8th April as strike action will affect other train operators on this day.

“We are disappointed that ASLEF has chosen to call yet more strike action and we would encourage them to work with the rail industry so we can put an end to this dispute.

“We can only apologise to customers in the meantime for the significant and inconvenience this action by ASLEF will cause.”
