Steam locomotive 44871 to visit Cheshire this Saturday

LMS Black 5 No. 44871 will be visiting this Saturday (2nd March 2024) as it hauls a tour from .

The tour in question is The Cheshireman, being run by Railway Touring Company and operated by West Coast Railways.

Departing at 07:13, the locomotive will pass through Junction (07:24), (07:45), (08:13), (08:22), (08:44), (09:22), (10:08), (11:05), (11:35) and at 12:35.

Passengers will then look around the historic city whilst the locomotive prepares for the return trip.

Departing Chester at 15:15, the train will take the same route as earlier in the day, passing through Crewe (15:45), Nuneaton (17:39), Rugby (18:43), Northampton (19:16), Central (19:42), (20:28) and London Euston.
