Police appeal after serious assault on train in Kent

officers are asking for the public's help in identifying the man shown in this photograph.

Officers have released a CCTV image in connection with an assault on board a train between and are that they are currently investigating.

The assault happened last Friday, 29 December, at about 11 pm. The victim was on board a train travelling between Ramsgate and Dover when another man attacked him. The victim was punched and stamped on his upper body and head, and he was left motionless on the floor.

After the assault, the victim attended hospital where it was found he had suffered a fractured shoulder and stitches were needed to his face.

British Transport Police officers believe the man in the image may have information that could help with their investigation, and would like to speak to the man or anyone who thinks they may recognise him.

If anyone recognises the man, or has any information about the assault, they are asked to contact British Transport Police by text on 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 727 of 29/12/23.
