Northern is running a three-day ‘Flash Sale' with five million tickets for selected journeys across the North of England on sale for prices of one pound or more.
The operator held a similar sale at this time last year, but with some tickets at just 50p.
Tickets are available now and until 4pm on Friday (5 January) from Northern's website.
‘Flash Sale' tickets are valid for travel between Wednesday 10 January and Friday 1 March 2024. Passengers must book them at least seven days in advance of travel.
Journeys for which ‘Flash Sale' include:
- Barrow-in-Furness to Carlisle, Carnforth, Lancaster, Millon, Manchester Airport, Manchester Oxford Road and Preston
- Blackpool (North & South) to Blackburn, Colne, Liverpool Lime Street, Manchester Oxford Road, Preston, Wigan North Western and York
- Bradford (Forster Square) to Ilkley, Leeds and Skipton
- Carlisle to Leeds, Middlesbrough, Newcastle and Whitehaven
- Chester to Leeds, Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Victoria
- Hull to Bridlington, Doncaster and York
- Leeds to Bradford Forster Square, Carlisle, Chester, Doncaster, Halifax, Harrogate, Huddersfield, Ilkley, Knaresborough, Knottingley, Lancaster, Manchester Victoria, Morecambe, Nottingham, Selby, Sheffield, Skipton and York
- Liverpool to Blackpool North, Manchester Airport, Manchester Oxford Road and Wilmslow
- Manchester (Piccadilly) to Buxton, Chester, Crewe, Hadfield, Manchester Airport, Sheffield, Stoke-on-Trent and Wilmslow
- Manchester (Victoria) to Blackburn, Chester, Clitheroe, Leeds, Southport, Wigan North Western and Windermere
- Newcastle to MetroCentre, Morpeth, Nunthorpe and Whitby
- Sheffield to Barnsley, Bridlington, Carlisle, Doncaster, Huddersfield, Hull, Leeds, Lincoln, Manchester Piccadilly, Nottingham, Retford (Low Level) and Scarborough.
- York to Blackpool North, Hull, Leeds and Selby
