British Transport Police appeal after assault on Greater Anglia train

British Transport Police officers investigating an assault on a train from London to last October have released CCTV photographs to help their inquiries in connection with the incident.

The assault occurred at about 10.30 pm on Tuesday 24 October on board a train travelling from Liverpool Street to Braintree in Essex. An altercation between two men and another man resulted in a fight in which one man suffered a broken nose and lost a tooth.

Police officers have released the images in connection as they believe the men shown may have information that could help with their inquiries.

If anyone recognises either of the men in the photographs, witnessed anything at the time, or was involved in the incident in any way, they are asked to contact us British Transport Police so that their officers can provide help.

If anyone has any information about the men or the incident, they are asked to contact British Transport Police by text on 61016, or by calling 0800 40 50 40 and quoting reference 207 of 28 October 2023.
