British Transport Police ask for help after girl sexually assaulted in South London

officers are investigating a sexual assault on a girl while she was travelling on a train in South .

The girl was assaulted on Saturday, 16 September at about 10.15 pm as the train was travelling between and railway station.

The girl was sitting with a friend on the train with her friend when a man began talking to them. After a while, he sexually assaulted her, then afterwards exposed himself to her.

Detectives have released this CCTV image in connection with the incident and would like to speak to the man in the image as they believe he may have information that could help their investigation.

If anyone recognises the man in the image or has any other information about the incident, British Transport Police would like them to get in contact by text on 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference number 744 of 16 September 2023.
