Cheshire and Lancashire railway stations praised by the Royal Horticultural Society

The stations, which are based in the North West of the country, were recognised at the RHS 'Britain in Bloom' awards.

The Royal Horticulture Society (RHS) has recognised twelve stations on the Northern network at the gardening 's esteemed ‘Britain in Bloom' .

The stations recognised as ‘Outstanding' at RHS awards are:

station in Lancashire won a ‘Gold' award for the ‘Best Small City' category for their display outside of the station. station in Cheshire and Squire Gate station in Lancashire were both awarded with ‘Thriving' certification.

The team at St. Annes on Sea who deal with the station's displays have now achieved the sought-after ‘Outstanding' certification for five consecutive years!

Craig Harrop, regional director for Northern, said:
