The Bachmann Collectors Club has today (2 August) unveiled its new limited-edition models available exclusively to its members.
The Club's next narrow gauge subject will be Mainline Hunslet ‘Linda', modelled in 2-4-0 Saddle Tank with Tender (2-4-0STT) format. The model depicts the locomotive as it ran in the 1990s, with a stovepipe chimney and a tender equipped for oil firing, and is finished in Ffestiniog Railway Midnight Blue livery, edged in black with white lining.
The announcement forms part of Bachmann Europe's Autumn British Railway Announcements for this autumn.
In winter 2021, the Club released its inaugural OO9 Limited Edition, and last winter released Hunslet models. Last Christmas, Bachmann released a model of Linda in its early Ffestiniog condition.
Linda is a resident loco at Ffestiniog Railway, and has been undergoing an overhaul this year.
There are two versions of the model available, one in standard format and one with SOUND FITTED. Both feature:
- firebox lighting
- a pre-fitted speaker
- NEM coupling pockets
- Next18 DCC interface
- etched name and works plates.
The SOUND FITTED version of the model is also pre-fitted with a ZIMO sound decoder, which allows sounds to be operated directly from the box on both analogue and DCC.
Bachmann Collectors Club has made five hundred of the models, and is offering them to members for ten per cent less than the recommended retail price an equivalent main range model. The prices are:
- standard model (391-135K): £206.96
- SOUND FITTED version (391-135KSF) £296.96.
