has been included in the Liverpool City Region's Fair Employment Charter, meaning it has been recognised as one of the best employers in the region.

The initiative aims to reward and highlight the best companies in the Merseyside region and celebrates fair practices and hopes to inspire other companies to drive-up standards.

This shows that Merseyrail aims to play its part in building a healthy, fair and inclusive workforce.

Merseyrail's acting HR Director, James Smith, said: “Merseyrail is proud and delighted to have been awarded the Aspire status as part of the Liverpool City Region's Fair Employment Charter.

“Our commitment to staff and ensuring that we have a workforce that is healthy, happy and motivated to help Merseyrail passengers, is key to giving us the resources to provide a first-class train service.

“We remain committed to meeting the high standards as set out by the Fair Employment Charter and look forward to playing our role in this vital scheme.”
