Merseyrail reveals it will introduce a special 2-Day Saver Ticket to mark the Jubilee Celebrations

The Jubilee 2-Day Saver Ticket will celebrate Her Majesty the Queen's Platinum Jubilee and will see events taking place over the Jubilee Bank Holiday

The special ticket will be an all-areas ticket that will be able to be purchased both online and at stations and can be used for 2 consecutive days travel during the Jubilee Bank Holiday from Thursday the 2nd to Sunday the 5th of June.  The Jubilee 2-Day Saver Ticket will cost £10 for adults and £5 for children.

Customers wishing to make shorter journeys can use a one area ticket which can be purchased at Merseyrail stations only and is priced at £8 for adults and £4 for children.

The ticket represents a key part of the City Region rail operator's plan in recognition of this important National occasion and will see celebrations taking part at select stations on the network including surprise activities at for those making the most of what the City Region has to offer during the long weekend.

Customers travelling by train could also win a £50 Love2Shop voucher should they find a ‘platinum ticket' inside one of the specially themed chocolate bars which will be handed out at the network's MtoGo shops with any purchased (whilst stocks last) during the bank holiday weekend.
