Lumo helps Tyneside football fans get back from Wembley

has announced that they will run an extra service to help football fans return from to on the 11th May 2024.

FC fans heading to the Isuzu FA Trophy Final at can already board the 07:12 or 10:22 Lumo services from to London King's Cross, both arrive well ahead of the 16:15 kick off against Solihull Moors FC.

However, Lumo has now announced an additional departure back from at 20:26, arriving into Newcastle at 23:10.

Lumo says that it will specially brand an electric train with Gateshead FC ‘Heed Army Express' designs.

Tickets can be booked via the Lumo website.

  • Thumbs up to Lumo. We need to see more of this. The railways surrendered far too much business in the past and now need to win it back, since the season ticket holders they used to rely on have declined in number.
