Steam locomotive 6233 Duchess of Sutherland to visit Carlisle this Saturday

For the first time in a number of years, LMS Duchess No. 6233 Duchess of Sutherland will be visiting as part of a tour.

Departing Locomotive Works at 07:00, the tour, hauled by a diesel locomotive, will pass through (07:37), (07:56), (08:10), (08:20), (08:52), Bank Quay (09:39), (09:51), (10:27), (10:47) and at 11:18.

With the diesel detached and 6233 Duchess of Sutherland at the helm of the train, it will depart Hellifield at 11:54 and will pass through (12;20), (13:00) and Carlisle at 13:47.

After time in Carlisle, 6233 Duchess of Sutherland will depart at 16:40 and will pass through Appleby (17:26), (18:01), (18:13), Junction (18:42), Hellifield (18:45), Whalley (19:32), Blackburn (19:51), Wigan North Western (20:57), (21:11), and Crewe at 21:40.

Here a diesel locomotive will replace 6233 and will return to Tyseley via Stafford (22:31), Wolverhampton (23:04), Walsall (23:23) and at 00:11.
