An outstanding exhibition of photography will be on display at Leeds station featuring top entries from the 2021 Landscape Photographer of the Year competition.
The exhibition features a diverse assortment of photography from wild country footpaths to striking riverside compositions.
One of the winning photos includes a phenomenal shot of Skelworth Bridge in Cumbria taken by Miles Middlebrook from York.
The free photography exhibition at Leeds station began on Monday the 24th of January on Leed's station's north concourse and will be available for visitors to enjoy until Sunday the 6th of February 2022. The exhibition will be touring Britains largest and busiest stations.
Maxine Joicey, Leeds Station Customer Experience Manager, said:
“This is a celebration of world-class talent and I'm sure that the spectacular photos will be enjoyed by anyone travelling through our station, as well as attracting Leeds' art community. Art has been rooted in the city of Leeds for a long time and we feel really lucky to be hosting the exhibition.”
In its 14th year, The Landscape Photographer of the Year competition is open to both professionals and amateur photographers, celebrating incredible images of landscapes and cityscapes from all over the UK.
Four categories are available alongside a youth competition for those under 18, the winners share a prize fund worth £20,000 with the top prize being £10,000.
The must-see photography exhibition will be visiting the following stations during 2022:
Leeds from the 24th of January to the 6th of February
Edinburgh Waverley from the 7th of February to the 20th of February
Manchester Piccadilly from the 21st of February to the 6th of March
Birmingham New Street from the 7th of March to the 20th of March
Reading from the 21st of March to the 3rd of April
London Paddington from the 4th of April to the 17th of April
London Waterloo from the 18th of April to the 1st of May
