Steam locomotive 46100 Royal Scot to haul Llandudno to York tour and will pass through Manchester

46100 Royal Scot will be out on the mainline this week (15th December) as it hauls The Christmas White Rose.

A heritage diesel will depart Llandudno Junction at 07:04 and will pass through Colwyn Bay (07:10), Rhyl (07:23), Prestatyn (07:31), Flint (07:49) and Chester at 08:04, where the steam locomotive is attached.

Departing Chester at 08:35, the steam train will pass through Helsby (08:36), Frodsham (08:51), Warrington Bank Quay (09:06), Newton-le-Willows (09:21), Eccles (09:37), Manchester Victoria (09:47), Ashburys (10:10), Edale (11:24), Grindleford (11:35), Sheffield (11:48), Swinton (12:04), Moorthorpe (12:27), Church Fenton (12:52) and York at 13:11.

After time in York, the steam locomotive will depart at 16:01 and will pass through Church Fenton (16:14), Castleford (16:36), Wakefield Kirkgate (16:47), Hebden Bridge (18:16), Littleborough (18:34), Miles Platting (19:18), Manchester Victoria (19:32), Eccles (19:43), Newton-le-Willows (20:00), Warrington Bank Quay (20:18), Frodsham (21:17) and Chester at 21:39, where the steam locomotive is removed from the train.

A diesel locomotive will haul the train back to Llandudno Junction, passing through Flint (22:26), Prestatyn (22:43), Rhyl (22:52), Colwyn Bay (23:06) and Llandudno Junction at 23:15.
