New Bachmann Double Fairlie locomotives announced

Europe have today released details of its new Winter 2021 models.

The new announcements were made via a YouTube Premiere this morning, 3rd November.

First up in the announcements was an addition to the Scenecraft range. Like all of the products, the returning Sectional Lineside Hut, first released a number of years ago, is highly detailed and is hand painted and will make a great addition to any lineside scene.

Next up was an N Gauge Parachute Water Tower, for those modelling the Western Region, and for those not doing the WR, Bachmann have also announced a Great Central Water Tower.

Next up was a range of other lineside models, including a messroom, fuelling point pump house, lineside cabinets, small kiosk, concrete bus shelter and modern toilets, as well as others.

A 00 gauge Holiday Coach has also been announced, which comes in either Green and White or Red and White.

Lots more lineside and non lineside scenery and buildings were announced this morning, so make sure to watch the video at the end of this article for more information.

Moving onto Rolling Stock and the EFE Rail range. New for Winter 2021 was a range of SPA wagons in a number of liveries and also available in weathered livery and removable hoods (the latter being an SEA wagon).

Next up was a London Underground 1938 stock train, which will be in shops this winter.

Moving to the Bachmann Branchline range and the first announcement was an LMS Ivatt 2MT in LMS Black livery, carrying the 1205 number. Also available will be BR Lined Black No. 41227.

More rolling stock as part of the Bachmann Branchline range have been announced, including BR 12T Shock Van, VEA vans and finally a Midland Railway 20T brakevan.

Available to the BR Class 90, with moveable pantograph, will be Intercity Mainline (90 026), Virgin Trains Livery (90 004), Freightliner Grey (90 048) and Freightliner Green (90 041). All will be available with sounds and other high quality editions like moveable buffers.

More modern rolling stock is set to hit the stores this Winter, with a new range of Class 150 models. First up is 150 133 in BR GMPTE (Regional Railways), next was the announcnement of 150 247 in BR Provincial (Sprinter) livery, with corridor connections and windows in those corridor connections.

Finally, Bachmann released new additions to the Graham Farish range, including Class 03 in N gauge for number D2028, 03026 and D2054, all in three separate liveries. Up next was a Class 101 with Speed Whiskers which now comes with sound fitted.

Finally from the Graham Farish range is a new BR MK2 TSO in BR RTC livery.

The reveal then joined Steve Purves, design engineer at Bachmann.

The next lot of announcements covered the Bachmann Narrow Gauge range. First up is a range of Double Fairlie locomotives, as seen at the . The range of four locomotives is available in 009 scale. The first up is ‘as built condition' Merddin Emrys in FR Green with open cab and no vacuum brake pipes. Next up was Livingston Thompson in Lined Maroon livery with changes such as vacuum braking and sand boxes.

The third locomotive is Earl of Merioneth as featured after being renamed from Livingston Thompson (and later named Taliesin). A club exclusive model of David Lloyd George has also been announced.

These will be ready to purchase in the next two weeks.
