This Saturday, 23rd October 2021, LNER A1 No. 60163 Tornado will be hauling part of a tour to Carlisle from Manchester Piccadilly.
Departing Manchester Piccadilly at 07:13 behind diesel locomotives, the tour will pass through Eccles (07:22), Roby (07:49), Liverpool Lime Street (08:11), Newton-le-Willows (09:19), Preston (10:15), and Carnforth North Jn at 10:44, where Tornado is added to the train.
Tornado will then continue up the West Coast Main Line, passing through Oxenholme Lake District (11:41), Tebay (11:57) and Penrith North Lakes (12:20) before arriving into Carlisle at 12:41.
After servicing and time for passengers to explore Carlisle, Tornado will depart at 14:20 and will pass through Appleby (15:04), Ribblehead (5:59) Hellifield (16:19- where Tornado is taken off the train), Blackburn (18:00), Preston (18:28), Newton-le-Willows (19:02), Liverpool Lime Street (19:37), Salford Central (20:44) and Manchester Victoria at 20:54
