Rail operator Northern has run a mums and babies day out in South Yorkshire in a bid to encourage young families to travel by train
Northern worked together with High Peak and Hope Valley Community Rail Partnership and South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive (SYPTE) to organise the Sling Express which ran from Darnall station in Sheffield to Edale.
Sheffield Sling Library and Surgery fitted 11 mums and children with slings, the fantastic service offers loans of hundreds of slings and carriers for parents to take home and try out.
With everyones slings sorted the train made its way to Edale where the mums and children enjoyed cakes and drinks and were also given a tour of the Edale visitor centre and the surrounding area by Peak District Park Ranger Anna Jennings.
