Duchess steam locomotive to visit Sheffield this Thursday

Steam locomotive 6233 Duchess of Sutherland is on the mainline this Thursday, its first mainline outing of the 2021 season.

The locomotive is on a mainline test run from Butterley to Tyseley via Sheffield.

Departing the Midland Railway – Butterley at 10:45, the locomotive will pass through Langley Mill (11:00), Spondon (11:35), Derby (11:39), Chesterfield (12:28), Sheffield (13:19), Chesterfield (13:44), Alfreton (13:58), Burton-on-Trent (14:55), Tamworth (15:08), Small Heath (15:32) and Tyseley Steam Trust at 15:48.

Note: This is a test run and is subject to short-term cancellation, change or delay.

Below are timings for the tour, these will track the train throughout its journey north and south.
