Steam locomotive to haul Magna Carta tour to Salisbury this Saturday

A Locomotive Services steam locomotive will be back in steam on the mainline and will be passing through Birmingham and Basingstoke on Saturday 4th September 2021 on its way to Salisbury.

The locomotive is on a railtour from Crewe.

The locomotive will depart Crewe at 07:00 and will then pass through Stafford (07:28), Wolverhampton (07:55), Bescot Stadium (08:13), Aston (08:57), Birmingham International (09:08), Berkswell (09:29), Coventry (09:40), Leamington Spa (10:18), Banbury (10:40), Heyford (10:55), Oxford (11:09), Goring and Streatley (12:09), Basingstoke (12:52), Andover (13:12) and Salisbury (13:32).

After a break in Salisbury, the locomotive will depart at 16:20. From here, it will pass through Warminster (16:43), Chippenham (17:17), Swindon (17:36), Oxford (18:52), Heyford (19:05), Banbury (19:17), Leamington Spa (20:05), Coventry (20:42), Birmingham International (20:58), Aston (21:20), Wolverhampton (22:25), Penkridge (22:40), Stafford (22:49) and Crewe at 23:21.
