Steam locomotive 61306 Mayflower to visit Gloucester this Saturday

Steam locomotive 61306 Mayflower will be on the mainline again this Saturday, as it hauls a special railtour to .

Departing London Paddington at 08:59, the train will pass through Southall (09:14), Slough (09:28), Maidenhead (09:35), Reading (09:49), Goring and Streatley (10:15), Didcot Parkway (10:24), Swindon (11:47), Kemble (12:03) and Gloucester at 12:34.

After time in Gloucester for passengers, Mayflower will depart at 15:26 and will then head to Shrewsbury via Lydney (15:51), Chepstow (16:00), Severn Tunnel Junction (16:08), Cwmbran (16:32), Abergavenny (17:13), Hereford (17:44), Leominster (18:21), Craven Arms (19:08) and Shrewsbury (19:35).

This is a one way tour, with passengers heading to Wales the day after. Therefore, Mayflower will head to Crewe Heritage Centre for servicing. Departing Coton Hill TC at 20:10, the locomotive with its support coach will pass through Shrewsbury (20:13), Wem (20:31), Prees (20:37), Nantwich (20:53) and Crewe at 21:05 before heading to Crewe Heritage Centre at 21:21.
